Jungle Land

Feliz comienzo de semana, 

Hoy comparto el relato de un fin de semana viviendo una experiencia única en mitad del Canal de Panamá. Jungle Land es el único lodge flotante en el Canal de Panamá. Para llegar al lodge, te recogen   en el embarcadero de Gamboa, y el recorrido hasta el lugar queda a una media hora del embarcadero.

Un camino precioso, bordeando la ribera del Canal, disfrutando de la exuberante vegetación y contemplando la fauna y flora del área canalera, muestra que se pudo comprobar en el anterior post. Ya en Jungle Land uno puede practicar una serie de actividades muy entretenidas y divertidas, desde excursiones en piragua por el río, pasando a ir en kayuko a visitar dos cascadas muy próximas al lodge que merecen la pena, hasta realizar un safari nocturno a buscar caimanes, cocodrilos o tortugas.

También tuvimos ocasión de dar de comer a una serie de animales que habitan en el lodge, desde un tucán, hasta una mona, pasando por un pequeño cocodrilo, una lora y una serpiente anaconda.

Todas las actividades nos resultaron una experiencia increíble por la forma de sentir que interactuamos tan de cerca con el entorno, los animales o las plantas... Y todo eso a menos de una hora de la ciudad. Merece la pena conocerlo!

Happy start to the week ,

Today I share the story of a weekend a unique experience in the middle of the Panama Canal. Jungle Land is the only floating lodge on the Panama Canal. To get to the lodge, they pick you up at the boat station in Gamboa, and we travel to the site during about a half hour from the boat station to the lodge.

A lovely path, along the banks of the Canal, enjoying the lush vegetation and wildlife watching the Canal area, shows that we noted in the previous post. Already in Jungle Land one can practice a number of very entertaining and fun activities from canoe trips on the river, going to go to visit two waterfalls Kayuko very close to the lodge worthwhile , to make a night safari to look for alligators, crocodiles and turtles .

Also we had the opportunity to feed a variety of animals that live in the lodge, from a toucan to a monkey, going through a small crocodile, a parrot and a snake anaconda.

All the activities we were an amazing experience to feel the way we interact so closely with the environment , animals or plants... And all this for less than an hour from the city . It is worth knowing!
