Gamboa II

Hola, ¿qué tal el comienzo de semana?

Para estrenar el lunes os voy a continuar hablando del precioso paraje de Gamboa, una explosión de naturaleza en estado puro a muy poco kilómetros de la ciudad, perfecto lugar para una escapada mañanera. Es así una buena manera de desconectar del tráfico diario de la ciudad y permite despreocuparse (por unos instantes) de las obligaciones y tan sólo pensar y reflexionar escuchando el sonido de las hojas. 

El centro de Gamboa Rainforest Discovery cuenta con una torre de 32 metros de altura desde la que se puede apreciar una sensación distinta a cada paso por sus escalones. Os cuento esto porque en cada altura se divisa un entorno diferente: el suelo, el setobosque, el dosel y las copas emergentes en la máxima altura. La torre está hecha en parte con material reciclado, y como curiosidad, todo fue transportado a hombros por el bosque para reducir el impacto ambiental. 

Por otro lado os muestro el precioso lago que es brazo del Lago Gatún, pieza clave del Canal. Estos lagos son reservas artificiales que guardan el agua de los riachuelos del bosque. De la lluvia y estas reservas dependen las operaciones del Canal. Pero además de su principal cometido, es un perfecto espacio de observación de garzas o águilas, incluso puedes ver algún caimán o cocodrilo. 

Espero que os guste. Creo que es una buena forma poder empezar un lunes con cierta inspiración selvática que nos permita recordar que aún quedan rincones naturales tan bien protegidos, ¿verdad?

Hello, how is your begin of the week?

To open the week I'm going to continue talking about the beautiful place of Gamboa, an explosion of nature in pure state in a few kilometers from the city, a perfect place for a morning escape. Is like that a good way to get away of the daily traffic of the city and allows to bother (for a moment) of the obligations and only think and reflect listening the sound of the leaves. 

The center of Gamboa Rainforest Discovery has a tower of 32 height meters from where you can appreciate a different sensation at each step. I tell you this because in each height you can see a different environment: the forest floor, the understorey, canopy and the emergent top of the trees. The tower is made from recycled material, and as curiosity, everything was carried into the forest by hand to minimize the effect on the fragile ecology of the place. 

On the other hand, I show you the beautiful lake that is arm of the Gatun Lake, a key piece of the Canal. These lakes are artificial reserves that keep the water of the forest' streems. From the rain and these reserves depend on the operations of the Canal. But also from its main function, is a perfect space to observe herons and eagles, even you can see some caiman or crocodile.


I hope you like it. I think is a good way to start on Monday with certain rainforest impression that allows to remember that there are still natural place quite well protected.
