Rumbo a Isla Contadora

Hola,

Espero que la semana haya comenzado muy bien. En Panamá, aunque no nos acompañe el sol todo el día, no es impedimento para sentirnos alegres como si luciera el más esplendoroso de los soles. Y como muestra de ello os enseño parte de nuestra escapada a Isla Contadora este pasado fin de semana. Pese a que el tiempo no acompañó nuestra estancia en el Archipiélago de Las Perlas, disfrutamos de este paraíso a tan sólo veinte minutos de avión de Ciudad de Panamá. 

El nombre de este archipiélago de más de 200 islas se debe a las perlas que en el mismo se encuentran. Y concretamente Contadora recibe el nombre por su papel como contaduría del comercio de perlas española. 

Esta isla fue refugio de numerosos multimillonarios y estrellas de cine décadas atrás; ahora, el que fuera el principal foco turístico de Panamá, sobrevive con los visitantes que sigue acogiendo en cualquier época del año. Mantiene unas playas paradisíacas, con aguas de cautivadoras tonalidades azules y playas de arena blanca. Ofrece excelentes lugares para bucear, practicar pesca deportiva y excursiones de observación de ballenas. Por cuestiones climatológicas, no tuvimos ocasión de avistar ballenas siendo ahora la época idónea para ello, por lo que dejamos pendiente un regreso temprano a Las Perlas.

Por otro lado, la isla también acoge una frondosa y exuberante vegetación, así que sin duda estoy convencida de que a todo el mundo le debe gustar esta pequeña pero preciosa isla que os recomendamos visitar.

Hello, 

I hope you've started the week very good. In Panama, besides the sun doesn't accompanied us during the whole day, it isn't an obstacle for being happy as the magnificent sun would shine. And as a sample I show you a part from our escape to Contadora Island last weekend. Besides the weather didn't accompanied our stay in Las Perlas Archipelago, we enjoyed of this paradise in less than twenty minutes traveling by plane from Panama City. 

The name of this archipelago with more than 200 islands is due to the pearls that are in the same place. And concretely Contadora receives the name because of its role as accounting office of the pearls' Spanish trade.  

This island was shelter of many multimillionaires and cinema stars decades before; now, which was the main touristic focus of Panama, survives from the visitors that continue takes in any moment of the year. It keeps heavenly beaches, with waters of captivating blue tonalities and beaches with clear sand. It offers excellent places to dive, to practice fishing and trips for whale-watching. For weather issues, we didn't find the occasion for whale-watching being now the right time, so we leave pending the early return to Las Perlas. 

On the other hand, the island has also a leafy and exuberant vegetation, so without a doubt I'm convinced that everybody would love this little but beautiful island that we recommend to visit.
