Subida a Cerro Ancón

Hola, 

Hoy nos subimos al que es sin duda uno de los rincones más emblemáticos de Panamá, Cerro Ancón, el punto más alto de la ciudad. Es un lugar que además ofrece las mejores vistas de la ciudad y sus alrededores, destacando las del Canal y toda su infraestructura, una maravilla!

El cerro, ya podéis observar en las imágenes, es un espacio natural precioso, siendo área protegida. Curiosamente, de camino a la cumbre vimos volar en libertad un tucán piquiverde... Lástima que no le pude tomar una foto, pero me quedé unos cuantos segundos perpleja disfrutando al verlo volar. 

Con la entrada en vigor de los Tratados Torrijos-Carter, acto por el que se reafirmó el respeto, equidad y justicia en las relaciones bilaterales entre Panamá-EEUU, Panamá retomó el control del cerro. 

En otro post os explicaré la historia de la bandera del país, que ondea orgullosa desde la cumbre de Cerro Ancón, refugio de inspiración para artistas y símbolo patriótico de muchos panameños.

Today we go up to one of the most emblematic places in Panama, Cerro Ancon, the highest point of the city. Is the place that also offers the best sightseeings of the city and surroundings, emphasizing Canal and the whole infrastructure, wonderful!

The hill, as you can see in the pics, is a beautiful natural place, being a protected area. Curiously, in the way to the hill we saw flying in freedom a toucan... Shame that I couldn't take a pic, but I was astonished a few seconds enjoying seeing it flying.

With the entry in force of the Treaties Torrijos-Carter, act in which was reassured the respect, equity and justice in the bilateral relations between Panama-USA, Panama takes up again the hill's control.
