Isla Cañas y sus manglares

Saludos y 10.000 gracias a todos

Recibí con emoción haber alcanzado las 10.000 visitas hace un par de días ;) Como sabéis puse en marcha el blog como relato de mi nueva vida en Panamá tras cruzar "el charco" desde mi patria España. Estos meses estoy viviendo felizmente una experiencia inolvidable. 

Para celebrarlo, ¿me acompañáis a pasar el fin de semana en la Península de Azuero? Es una zona que me encanta visitar. Y en esta ocasión os invito a conocer Isla Cañas, especialmente atractivo en esta temporada de desove de la que ya os hablé en Tortugas en Isla Cañas. 

El Refugio de Vida Silvestre Isla de Cañas se creó en 1974 para proteger el lugar de desove de tortugas marinas más importante de Panamá. El refugio abarca manglares, que se extienden en una franja de 16 kilómetros entre las desembocaduras de los ríos Cañas y Tonosí. 

Con un bote capitaneado por Jairo nos abrimos camino entre los manglares hasta bordear toda la isla de Cañas y disfrutamos del precioso paisaje que os muestro a continuación.

Greetings and 10.000 thanks to all of you, 

I received with emotion have reached the 10.000 visits on the blog a couple of days ago :) As you know, I start the blog as a story about my new life in Panama after crossing "the Pond"from my home Spain. These months I am living happily a wonderful experience. 

To celebrate it, do you come with me this weekend to Azuero? Is an area that I love to visit. On this occasion, I invite you to know Cañas Island, specially attractive this nesting season which I talked you before in Tortugas en Isla Cañas.

The Wildlife Refuge of Cañas Island was created in 1974 to protect the most important nesting place of marine turtles in Panama. The refuge has mangrove swamps, that extend in a stripe of 16 kilometers among the mouth of the rivers Cañas and Tonosí. 

With a boat captained by Jairo we opened track among the mangrove swamps until cover the whole island and we enjoyed the beautiful panorama that I show you in the following pics.
