En el viaje a Guatemala, mostré especial interés por la artesanía del país, sin duda, la expresión más propia de la rica cultura indígena. Sus piezas de artesanía son un gran soporte y sustento de las comunidades de este bello país centroamericano.
Data de tiempos prehispánicos, y con la llegada de la época colonial, las artesanías tradicionales mesoamericanas empezaron a incorporar las técnicas y diseños europeos, sin perder su carácter netamente indígena.
En Antigua pudimos apreciar estas producciones de artesanía tan llamativos. Además, todo sea dicho, hay mucha tendencia étnica esta temporada, así que digamos que las prendas indígenas "están de moda y son tendencia".
Paseando por Antigua hay multitud de tiendas y mercados de artesanía donde encontrar una variada diversidad de tejidos, bolsos, mochilas, calzado, cuadros, mantas, colchas, manteleria, chales y bufandas, llegando a las famosas máscaras, piedras y maderas talladas. Aquí podréis conocerlo mejor. Espero que os guste.
